The difference between a lawn that has been mown and a section that looks genuinely cared for almost always comes down to the trimming. The mower does the broad acres, but it cannot reach the grass crowding the fence line, the tufts around the letterbox post, the fringe along the path, or the corners behind the garden shed. Those fiddly bits are our favourite part of the job, and finishing them properly is what makes neighbours slow down for a second look.

Our trimming work covers lawn edges along paths, driveways and patios, the strips where grass meets fences and retaining walls, and the awkward corners every section seems to collect. Shrubs and small bushes that are starting to sprawl across the lawn or block a path can be cut back with secateurs, keeping the shape of the plant while reclaiming the space around it. Everything is done by hand with sharp tools, which gives a far cleaner result than hacking at things with blunt gear.

Trimming pairs naturally with mowing — a fresh cut with crisp edges looks twice as good for only a little extra time on site. Many of our regular Parklands customers book the two together as a standing arrangement: the lawn cut, the edges finished, the clippings and trimmings loaded onto the trailer and taken away. One visit, and the whole section looks sharp from the street to the back fence.

It also stands alone beautifully as a between-mows refresh. If you mow the lawn yourself but never quite get around to the edges, booking a trimming visit brings the whole section up to scratch without you touching a tool.
